Wreck-It Ralph 4K is a minor character of an eight-bit computer game, and he is tired of being in the shadow of the main character - the Felix jack of all trades, who always appears to "fix" the situation! After ten years of hard work in the role of a villain, during which all praise fell on Felix-Master, Ralph Lomaster does not want to be bad anymore. He decides to go on a journey through arcade games of different generations to prove to everyone that he too can be a hero.
On his way, in Wreck-It Ralph 4K Ralph meets the heroes of various games - the cold-blooded Sergeant Calhoun from the game Hero's Duty, which protects the planet from the invasion of alien invaders, and sweet-looking but sharp on the tongue Svönen Du, whose existence in the game is suddenly threatened. Finally, Ralph has a chance to show that he can not only destroy!
The plot of Wreck-It Ralph 4K seems to be rather simple, and the moral is customary for cartoons designed for preschool children: you cannot judge the hero of the game by his program, friendship is more important than a medal and (this is a new obsession embedded in every Disney product) the fate can break. In addition, at some point, the action of the cartoon completely turns into sugar and candy landscapes of a fictional game about races on freshly baked avtomobilchik, which is, of course, very beautiful, but somehow sugaryly sweet and quite childish. But Wreck-It Ralph 4K is a cartoon in which the idea turned out to be much more interesting than the plot. Its creator, Rich Moore, is not just the director of animation "Simpsons" and "Futurama", but, first of all, a former boy and a man, in whose eyes a whole generation of computer games changed and went into the distant past "Pacman". It seems that he and a dozen of the same former boys seriously thought about where the heroes of Sonic were gone after they were sent into retirement, and Ralph, the witty fruit of their fantasies on this subject. And what if Pacman is invited to visit? And what if to arrange a meeting of all the main villains? Therapy for villains, by the way, is the best scene in the whole cartoon, certainly not intended for preschoolers, in which bad guys from all the important toys of the past years (even from the great Mortal Kombat) were collected with amazing tenderness. Childishness (in its best manifestations) shows through in every smallest detail of the world of Ralph. With the enthusiasm of programmers, the authors meticulously created three completely different game realities from scratch and even invented their own program for each character. Then they reasoned that the realities would interact, but they could not be mixed, because, again, each game has its own program and its own graphics. As a result, the heroine from the incredibly graphic “Hero's duty” walks with eight-bit Felix across the bright pink expanses of a children's toy, and this may be a little infantile, but certainly ridiculous, bold and unexpected.
