End of December. Suburb of Chicago. The McCallister family travels to Paris on Christmas break. As usual on the eve of the trip, the house is in turmoil. In this hustle and bustle, no one notices the very last member of the family, eight-year-old Kevin. A bandit Harry Lime comes into the house, disguised as a police officer, and tries to find out how to bypass all the protection systems, so that later he can rob the house when the family leaves. The evening before the trip ends with an altercation between Kevin and his older brother Buzz, who is eating Kevin's favorite pizza. Despite Kevin's evidence, he is sent to sleep on the third floor. Along the way, Kevin, in a fit of anger, makes a wish never to see his family again. At night, the wires are short-circuited due to a branch falling on them, all alarms are turned off and in the morning the whole family is almost late for the plane. They manage to board it just a few minutes before takeoff.

There are films that you want to watch an infinite number of times. And preferably on New Years and Christmas. Of course, Chris Columbus's imperishable film "Home Alone", for which the producer and screenwriter Jlon Hughes, known for "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Airplane, Train, Car" was also responsible, can be added to them.

This plot is certainly not new and is known to almost everyone, but I still want to say a few words about it. So, just before Christmas, the McCallister family is going to travel from Chicago to Paris to spend the entire weekend there. But it so happens that little Kevin accidentally remains at home and cannot believe his happiness, because he is frankly tired of his relatives. But the problem is that the McCallister house is going to be robbed by the "wet bandits" Harry and Marv. And now Kevin is facing a real war ...

I do not argue that there is a lot of cruelty in Columbus's film, which can actually disturb the subtle state of mind of an impressionable viewer, but I advise you to watch "Home Alone" with thoughts of "Well, wait a minute!" and Tome and Jerry. There are also enough sore moments, but we watch cartoons and we have fun. Also with "Home Alone". The main thing is to accept that all this is just entertainment and nothing more. In this case, you will enjoy the maximum.

And the funny thing is that every time I watch it, the most memorable thing for me is not the cutie Kevin, but Marv and Harry performed by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. Of course they are still gouges and criminals, but how do they organically fit into the plot. It is especially fun to watch them during the robbery. Of course they are a little sorry, but they themselves are to blame and should be punished!

Home Alone is one of the best holiday comedies for me. You should not look for unnecessary flaws here, but just watch the movie and laugh heartily. Happy viewing.
