The practice of modern films has long proved that most of the continuations of successful and beloved paintings a priori and in fact is worse than their predecessors. Perhaps it's a matter of concentrating on making money, not the quality of the product. Perhaps in fear of coming up with something new and moving away from the already grown fond of the material. There are many reasons for this. A pleasant exception to the "rules" for me was this animated film directed by Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffan.

The plot of the picture logically continues the events of the previous parts of the franchise. If in the first tape Grew was a real supervillain, and in the sequel a kind of super agent, then in this tape he found himself a niche somewhere in the middle. It would seem that at first glance nothing special can be imagined. But some of the salvation of history is the unexpected appearance of a twin brother, whose appearance and becomes the catalyst for most of the fun moments and the whole plot as a whole. Along the way, laying an excellent opportunity to "pass the baton of the protagonist" to the newfound brother of the protagonist, and maybe even play on their some kind of confrontation of heroes and villains in the spirit of the last parts of the franchise "Fast and the Furious".

It can be seen that the tape makers tried their best to come up with something new and not to repeat the previous parts. This justifies the very fact that the film is overloaded with an abundance of numerous storylines, most of which do not exploit their full potential and are not revealed completely because of their abundance and the small amount of screen time allotted to each of them. Rather, creating the impression of intertwined short films, rather than a full-length full-length piece. But even here the creators of the tape manage to achieve some kind of sympathy.

Permanent directors of the franchise Pierre Coffanu and Kaila Balda managed to remove a very light, cheerful, kind and light animated film, which is literally imbued with these very emotions and involuntarily recharges the viewer when viewing them. Along the way, it gives the impression of a really funny animated film, which can be called as a smile on your face, as well as a healthy laugh at viewing. Along the way, gladly pleased with the excellent animation, as well as a superbly selected soundtrack and stylization for the 80's all that is connected with the main villain of the tape.

Grew and his wife Lucy in this tape frankly regressed. If in the previous parts they bribed precisely with their negative qualities issued in a positive way, then they turned out to be banally gray and faded. Where it is more interesting "debuted" the brother of the protagonist Drew and the main villain of the tape, who can be called the most charismatic character of the picture. And where without Minions, who traditionally "steal" the whole film. Even if on the screen they turned out to be less than usual, and after a solo movie they all also try to hold themselves apart, rather than manifest themselves in action with the main characters of the tape as before.

Despicable Me 3 is a truly rare example of how the continuation is in no way inferior to its predecessor on the screen. Cheerful, light, light, interesting and really funny animated film, the time for watching which flies by in a few moments. That in itself is already an indicator.
