The film will tell the story of a woman who overtakes a stranger's car, delaying the movement of cars on the track. The man tries to apologize, but the heroine ignores him. After that, he begins to pursue her, and not only she herself, but also her loved ones, as well as everyone around her, is under threat.

Unhinged 4K Review
Rachel (Karen Pistorius) has a bad day: a brother and wife who have come to stay at home infuriates, a son is late for school, she herself - for work, which is eventually canceled due to the fact that she traveled too long; she is tormented by the thought that her ex-husband is trying to sue the house, and that her weak mother recently moved to a nursing home. Why not get nasty on the road with a stern bearded man (Russell Crowe) driving a pickup truck, which did not move for a long time when the green light turned on at the traffic light. The indignant city dweller has too much free time (he had already killed someone the previous evening - right in the opening scene - so there was a free window in his work schedule for planning other people's torment), and he enthusiastically proceeds to bullying Rachel.

In general, it would be interesting to talk about “Furious” in the context of the recent awakening from sleep of all kinds of snowflakes, in the sense of millennials who are beating in their blood about everything that does not fit into their picture of the world and therefore narrows their comfort zone. The trend is certainly not new, but it has intensified in recent months for obvious reasons. Now social network warriors not only tell the world about the next depressive episode, but also love to fight with something - for example, with sneakers, the print on which seems to someone racist (obviously, this is all an attempt to calm the vein that was chirping in everyone , general nervous sublimation). For example, before they wrote about their own spleen and a worthless day only in a personal diary, which was of interest to descendants only if its author was some kind of Pushkin or Nicholas II. Now everyone is free to tweet what is hard on his soul.

Likewise, Rachel let her emotions run high in her short-term interactions with Russell Crowe's character. The social protocol is about the same as in the Twitter feed: you throw your anger out the window (that is, either into someone else's feed or into a real window - a car), and retribution will not come back - unless, of course, you read toxic replies. This is such a revived replay, a universal answer for inattention to others, is the revenge of the bearded vigilante.

But the villain in Furious is, of course, not a lonely young mother in trouble (that would be unexpected and innovative in its own way in a genre context), but a shaggy elderly masculine. It's funny, of course, today to see Russell Crowe, known for uncontrollable outbursts of anger. Many have already forgotten that in 2005 he dropped the telephone receiver at the concierge. Now he acts almost exclusively in villainous roles: while everyone has not remembered his abusive nature, he managed to play Roger Isles' media ad in "The Loudest Voice" and the father from "Blurred Personality", who sends his gay son to correctional therapy. That is, the actor in the lead role goes through some kind of his own path, the evolution of his own screen frenzy, which is clearly consonant with his nature outside the film sets.

In short, it would be interesting to chat about all this, if "Furious" was worthy of it. But based on the results of this thriller, surprisingly monotonous for the genre about a large-scale frightening revenge for insignificant nonsense, I just want to reflect on the total irrelevance of such sketches, played on the keys, rubbed by their predecessors so much that it is impossible to distinguish whether these keys are white or black. While the insidious killer sadly threatens Rachel's son, fishes out a phone from her friend (Jimmy Simpson, you deserve more), a pulsating supposedly nervous music is hammering in your ears, you think of only one thing: won't such premieres finally finish off the rediscovered film distribution? The same snowflakes - the last remaining audience, ready to seriously get rid of such plots - would prefer to accidentally meet this optional movie in streaming catalogs, especially since nothing new in the film will be seen on the wide screen. Most of all I feel sorry for the director: Derrick Borte made his debut with a non-trivial film "The Jones Family", also on the topic of the ambiguity of any social interaction, but then, apparently, a dangerous quagmire of secondary genre was drawn.

"Furious" leaves an unpleasant sensation, familiar from meetings with district ruffians in "Pyaterochka". Let's say someone said nasty things to you in the queue, but you haven't figured out what such a witty answer to him - and you walk, suffer, thinking how beautifully you could put him in his place with just one phrase. The same situation with an attempt to sympathize with the boorish Rachel - in the end, you involuntarily take the place of an elderly maniac, he at least tried to fight back to the best of his ability. The heroine, by and large, is not justified by her background, which none of us as a whole would have to know about if we were in the place of Russell Crowe's character. Well, a bad day, and a bad one. And who, one wonders, is easy now. We have to watch "Furious".
