In the center of the plot will be a married couple who, together with their little son, survive in the chaos reigning on Earth, caused by the fall of huge fragments of a comet. Throughout the film, the characters will try to get to the shelter.

The new disaster movie starring Gerard Butler gave me the most enjoyable viewing experience. It would seem that it is no longer possible to shoot anything new and impressive in this genre, because that has already been done by filmmakers with a poor planet for decades. But despite the fact that here we have another killer meteorite and beautiful special effects of smashing world sights to pieces, the film does not cause a desire to glance at the clock throughout the entire viewing.

The main advantage of the picture is that the emphasis here is not on the colorful picture of the apocalypse (although it is certainly present here too), but on how people change in an extreme situation, how all the dirt that hid behind a good-natured smile comes out, and how they fly all moral principles when it comes to your life and safety. The film also poses a question for the viewer - what would you be ready to do if the lives of those who are dear to you were at stake? Your family, loved ones, friends. What line could you not cross to save them? And how selfless are you ready to be, realizing that this is the only way you can help someone?

An additional plus for me here is Gerard Butler, who adorns any action movie, because he knows how not only to look organically in the image of a superhero, but also to perfectly demonstrate a huge range of various emotions. In addition, the film plays up another important topic - is it possible to save a completely destroyed relationship with a loved one, and will he still be dear to you when his life is in danger? There are many interesting points. And this is what distinguishes Greenland from dozens of similar films. I will not say that it is better than some classics of the genre, it is just different, and at least therefore deserves attention.
