So, the 5th wave is a film in the fantasy genre that I was hoping for in early 2016. Well agree, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nick J. Robinson and Alex Roe had to do their thing, this trio was supposed to blow up the hall (in direct and figuratively)! BUT ... Something did not work ...

The idea of ​​the film is absolutely perfect! I did not see in my life really adequate films in the genre of "survival + horror", where all of humanity died, and you are alone against all, trying to survive ... And now, I looked at the trailer - everything is perfect, special. effects, Chloe Grace Moretz, aliens and more create such a juicy mix that you want to watch, I want to see it faster! And now, the moment has come - I'm sitting in a cozy room, sipping my water and I see it ...

For 20 minutes of the film they try to impress me with "very detailed" about 4 waves and the rest of an hour and a half talk about the 5th wave. Are you serious or what? But how is it? How did it happen so quickly? Or were these 4 waves simply forgotten to take off and tried to do it a week before the premiere of the film? Because special. effects in these waves at the level of "2 days working in After Effects" ... But if you close your eyes to all this (which turns out to be difficult), I want to consider several points: The plot, Acting, Special. Effects, Acting. I think I'll start.

Plot. As I said, the plot was supposed to be perfect, perfect, BUT, failure ... Aliens flew in, flooded, switched off the light for everyone, and then they decided to kill everyone with children. And then, if it were not for the quick story of the first 4 waves, for 15 minutes of the film, everything would have leveled off and it's getting better. Definitely a minus.

Specialist. effects. No, they are not what would not ... but it would be better if they were not, really. All 2-3 spec. effects were shown to us in the trailer, the remaining 2-3 are done in 10 minutes in After Effects (I would have done better ...). Here you have the result ... Little, scantily and time did not pay it completely. "Fantasy" is called. Again - minus.

Actor play. Here the whole trouble. The acting is so-so. But if you do not take each hero separately, and their cohesive whole - it will not turn out so bad, really. Yes, and Chloe Grace separately played not terribly, even quite well. But there was a sense to give a little more time, think, pull up - it would be much better.
