The government decides to give the team of super villains a chance at redemption. The catch is that they are sent to carry out missions, where they are most likely to die.
Reviews"We`re bad guys, it`s what we do"
From the very first announcements the film "Suicide Squad" became the object of heated discussions both among fans of comics and among ordinary people.
The wave of enthusiasm and wild haypah around the movie rose long before it was released in the rental. Promo photos, trailers and concept art gave birth to a crowd of enthusiastic fans of the new kinomiksa from "DC".
The higher ranks of the studio "Warner Bros." were absolutely unhappy and annoyed with the results of the rent and the evaluations of film critics of their past offspring, which carries the long name "Batman vs. Superman: At the dawn of justice", so the "Detachment of Suicides" had far greater expectations. The film about the confrontation of two fighters for justice was accused of excessive gloominess, cruelty and inappropriate seriousness, and also pointed to a long time-keeping (although the film had already been shredded by huge scissors at the editing stage, which did not give integrity to the overall picture of Zach Snyder.) Therefore, tops of the film studio, having passed through the whole flow of negative feedback, make serious decisions regarding the new work. Only here conclusions are hasty.
David Eyre alas to remove a more rigid and gloomy movie, originally conceived as a drama about dangerous criminals going to certain death, but doing contrary to their essence a good deed. However, the studio bosses decided to make the film an alternative fun trailer, together with a company specializing only in them. The reaction was positive, and it was very encouraging "Warner Bros.". And so it was instructed ... to shoot the film. Dosnyat considerable (!) Part of the film, so that the expectations of the audience were justified in full. And then they decided to cut the movie from the harsh scenes in favor of the PG-13 rating and the large occupancy of the hall. All for the sake of brand reputation and cash. In the end, we got the fusion of the idea of Eyre and the creativity of the studio bosses. A sort of diffusion of superhero cinema. All would be well, if only the decisions were not taken in a hurry.
As far as the narrative is concerned, it can be said that events take place very quickly. In my opinion, this is the reason for the installation, which was done by the same people as the trailers for the film. The experience in creating short commercials speaks for itself. Frames flash with a huge frequency, creating periodically some confusion on the screen. The film manages to reveal only a couple of characters, casting the rest into the background. It is a pity, because many of the members of the squad deserve a more thorough excursion into their past, because in general all the actors have done an excellent job with their images, with the exception of Kara Delevin. I do not consider this top model a good actress. It hurts so poorly on emotions. Throughout the film, I watched almost the same expression. Probably for advertising billboards "MANGO" or explicit photosets in fashion magazines it fits perfectly. But not for the cinema. The focus was on her popularity, to attract more people to the cinemas, but, in my opinion, this is a mistake.
If we talk about expectations, then I did not see many scenes that I expected so much. Only after leaving the cinema, viewing screenshots of individual moments (which I probably missed due to the rapid change of frames), reading of various articles and interviews, my view appears a lot of author's Easter eggs and references to comic books and prequels / sequels of the movie "DC". Such a kind of game with the spectator began in the movie "Batman vs. Superman", which turned out to be interesting only to the comic book fans, to which I belong.
The film "Suicide Squad 4K" is not terrible. And certainly not deserving of the dirt, which he watered some Western critics. Yes, there were high hopes on this canvas, which, to great and universal regret, did not materialize. There was a feeling of mild hunger after watching. As if something was not enough. But the film does not deserve that roller of negativity, which rushes to it, in order to raze it to the ground. I experienced similar things after watching "At the dawn of justice," but this small gap was replenished with an extended version.
In my opinion, the "Suicide Squad" is a new step towards the creation of a whole cable-car "DC". The film is different from the previous "Man of Steel" and "Batman vs. Superman", and this is very good. Each film represents something of its own, small worlds with its unique atmosphere and characters. After all, even despite a certain race for the films "MARVEL", the handwriting of "DC" is recognizable and original. Also it would be desirable, that it did not disappear anywhere. Controlling everything and everyone on the set of brothers Warner would like to advise you to calm down. The turmoil and the endless aggressive interference of studio bosses in the filming process never yield a positive result. I understand everything, daughter company, you want the best. But the "DC" is already grown up, so let them open up to the fullest. Do not hold back the creators in their gusts. Be patient and just watch how creative people realize their bold and far from stupid (!) Ideas.
