Primal 4K Review"Primal. Have you heard of this Nicolas Cage movie? Did you know that he is accompanied by the once central character of the iconic original X-Men trilogy? Neither had I. And I didn't know. But how glad I am to have seen it.
The movie has low ratings. That's because the once Oscar-winning Nicholas has been making movies that used to just come out on cassette tapes straight away for a decade. But in recent years his work has been pleasing. First and foremost his acting.
What nostalgia struck when he once again played an unshaven and drunken man with a dubious source of income. It gave me shivers, honestly. Because he did it in Leaving Las Vegas like nobody else can. And in the other moments he was, as they say, alive!
And that is in spite of the fact, that we are faced with an unpretentious plot about a poacher who saves the ship with the most badass and evil mercenary of all time. What haven't we seen in such plots? Honestly - we've seen everything. But it's nice to look at the actors, the characters, listen to the classic action movie jokes, enjoy the scuffle and the gunfights.
The graphics was a little detrimental because of which a rather watchable film acquired a touch of "cheapness". But in general the animals were shown with dignity. And factually the screenwriters were well prepared.
It's a shame that I watched the movie alone. For this kind of work there should be a father, who once rented a cassette tape to watch together while my mother is not at home. It's a classic, a little seasoned with freshness. And this is the Cage that seems to be back.
