Blade 4K ReviewI would like to sincerely hope that the first "Blade" will always stand apart from its sequels, the essence of the creation of which, in fact, is not very clear to me. At first glance, the idea of the whole trilogy is one, and is based on a strong, courageous and ironic Blade in the role of a tough vampire hunter, and in the subtext of the continuation of the successful first part, the savior of humanity.
The essence of the first "Blade" is very clear, but much on the surface turns out to be much deeper, which I personally am incredibly pleased with. The hero's primary revenge leads to a search for his own "I", and not at all a banal confrontation with the forces of universal evil. Revenge moves Blade's hand every time he takes up arms and goes hunting, and this is already psychology.
The atmosphere of the film attracts, the picture is completely modern and understandable to the average viewer, the music complements the external design, everything matches. As for the inner content, the successful combination of action movie, thriller and drama, seasoned with a lot of irony - this is "Blade". The film is stylish, high quality and dynamic.
I really liked the interpretation of the life of vampires, divided by their essence into two generalized camps. Purebred and transformed, they also differ from each other in completely different behavior, not yielding to ordinary people in their life and spiritual values. Among them are dictators, politicians, strategists. But, as in life, there are own troublemakers.
This turned out to be the antipode of the protagonist, Deacon Frost, obsessed with the resurrection of the ancient God of Blood. It should be noted that Stephen Dorff undoubtedly brought his own individual traits into his character and created a devilishly complex and attractive character. Impudence, ambition, self-confidence, charm, cruelty, patriotism and lust for power are all on the edge. It is so impulsive and effective that in my eyes he easily pushes Blade himself into the background and all this is his stupid crusade (s) in the free remark of one pureblood, namely Dragonetti.
The film did not do without numerous inconsistencies and blunders, however, at every such moment, I reassure myself with the thought that it is not necessary to disassemble the film adaptation of comics by the bones, but you should just enjoy watching, which I do. Vampires, chopped into small pieces in a hot fight, burn out glamorously, leaving no trash behind them, it's nice to look at such a sight, and I'm ready to watch the delightful villain Frost forever, incredible charm.
