His whole life is a continuous chase and shooting, because he works as a driver, who helps the bandits to escape from the crime scene. One day he really falls in love and decides to quit the game, but first he has to perform another task, which may well be the last in his life.

The kid in business - speed on the limit

To decorate the still not released film with sweet speeches, beautiful posters and sonorous names, and also to launch pre-shows simultaneously with the world premiere is a simple matter. The trailer, reporting the film as a regular comedy with chases, robberies with a priority on the unhappy love line, was not able to provoke deep interest and high expectations. But in this case, marketing and closed pre-shows did their job, making Edgar Wright's new film "The Kid on the Drive" almost the best criminal fighter of this year. Of course, with the "shyness" of the promotion of the film no one can do, so the main force was the audience. And it was said loud "Yes!".

Kid (Ansel Elgort) - driver of gangs of robbers, and he is a professional in his business. He has no equal, but it shows up only when a good song plays. Wanting to establish his personal life while working with his boss Doc (Kevin Spacey), he has to get out of the thorns of criminal games and save all those who care about him.

The theme of the film is quite specific, because you do not immediately understand what this film is about. Stylistics changes, the mood jumps without stopping, not letting go for a second. In this case, at first the movie looks easy and child-like dynamic, then you learn the action of the script and understand the meaning of the adult rating.

Edgar Wright has his own vision of what is happening, having behind him many other powerful works, and this is an irrefutable fact. The viewer, having enough of such racing-criminal "works of art" as "Overdrive" or "Fast and the Furious", perceives "Baby driver" as something new; the director got the film fresh and strongly invigorating for the current hire.

Fanaticism of the idea is felt in the study of characters and in their timely disclosure. Each character has its own key priorities and vital positions, but all this is presented so unexpectedly that the awareness of the depth of the characters begins to shock. Initially, the characters are empty as cans, on which only names are written, that is, nicknames. But in the course of development of the action the plot gives heroes new qualities, because of what you do not know what to expect next. The unpredictability of the narrative at some point really frightens, since the beginning is smooth and calm, which is why you do not suspect about further unexpected turns.

The variety of characters, their chemistry, the atmosphere allows you to fully absorb the film. But all this is flavored with a perfectly balanced soundtrack, long chosen by the director himself. Balance is felt in moments when the song becomes a single whole with everything that happens on the screen. The constant change of the "player-robbery" or "player-chase" angle will make any viewer love the drive and especially the driving songs.

"Baby Driver" - ​​a pretty bold breakthrough in the field of criminal militants. Who would have thought that a movie with such a "children's" name and trailers could turn out so dramatic and "adult". Actors, who played the main roles, deserved high praise, as they managed to escape from some of their stagnant roles. In addition, this film introduces a good variety in this genre. But everyone has different tastes, just different films of this kind. There are such as a cheerful and thoughtless "Fast and Furious", and there are such as a deep and sharp "Baby Driver" ...
