Welcome to the fantastic world of beautiful castles, creepy dungeons, endless oceans, forests and mountains. To save his beloved, beautiful bride, the brave hero overcomes unthinkable obstacles and performs incredible feats.
The Princess Bride 4K ReviewProbably, "Princess Bride" is one of the most original fairy tales. And the originality is not at all in the plot (separated lovers, an evil king who wants to marry an unfortunate girl and a vile count who once fought with an 11-year-old boy whose father he killed). It’s all about the characters of such “typical” protagonists. Buttercup, she's a princess bride. She was not born a princess and not in a palace, she was born an ordinary girl on a small farm. Her lover, Westley is not a beautiful prince on a white horse, but an ordinary worker on the same farm. But love makes no distinction between rich and poor. So it was with this couple ...
Inigo and Fezzik are very colorful. Inigo, a noble Spaniard, is forced to do dark things to "pay the bills." He wants to take revenge on the murderer of his father, but for now he drinks and is engaged in robbery. But not everything noble in him died. He throws Westley's rope, gives him a break before a duel. Fezzik, a giant who replaces the "platoon of suicide bombers", but, as it turns out later, is very good-natured, loves to rhyme words and will never leave friends in trouble.
I won’t talk about the villains - they are gray, boring, as it should be for the villains. Laughing at some scenes to tears. For example, Buttercup pushed Westley from a tall hill, and then she rolled head over heels when she realized that he was not the pirate Richardson, whom she blamed for Westley’s death, but her beloved. Or episodes where Inigo and Fezzik were lugging around (sorry, I can’t find another word) with dead Westley, and then they tried to literally put him on his feet.
In general, I really liked it, got a lot of pleasant impressions.
