This is the story of a boy who doubts the existence of Santa Claus. Once on the mysterious "Polar Express" bound for the North Pole, he leaves all his doubts behind. And as Christmas night descends on a sleeping world, the passengers of the high-speed train rush to the North Pole, encountering adventures and dangers along the way in dark forests, ominous mountains and icy tundra.
The Polar Express 4K Review"You know what's great about the train? If you don't even know where it's going, the main thing is to get on it.
I can't remember when I stopped believing in Santa Claus, or Santa Claus in our words, but as a child I was very scared of the idea of a fat, ugly, hairy man in red climbing into my room at night. Just think of the lines of the famous Christmas carol:
'He watches you sleep.
He knows when you wake up
He knows what you've been like, good or bad
So be good for heaven's sake.
While watching it, I didn't fully understand the criteria by which the kids were chosen to ride the train. For those who have lost their faith? We find out in the finale! Everyone will learn their lesson. Adults can't get enough of this train ride either.
Just didn't understand why the Spirit of Christmas only came to the chosen kids? For what reason? But maybe I'm too old to figure it out!
Very thoughtful North Pole. Not just a palace where the elves create Christmas toys, but exactly an entire city subject to its own laws! It's delightful.
The faces of the elves are something! The faces of the elves are really something! And yet, everyone is completely different! Steve Tyler's elf is also appreciated!
The only thing I missed about the cartoon was the liveliness in the characters' facial expressions, which in 2022 we're all used to.
Thanks for such obvious references to Scrooge from 'A Christmas Story', again to Steve Tyler and Josh Groban for the great final sound!
A brilliant cartoon for family viewing before the New Year. With meaning and ideas of its own.
