Johnny English Strikes Again 4K When all the agents of Her Majesty's secret service suddenly fail, a fallback comes into play. A sample of the English style and the favorite of fatal beauties; the king of hopeless situations and the keeper of analog traditions in the digital world, agent Johnny Inglish (Rowan Atkinson) is the pain and pride of British intelligence. This guy has something to shake up, and he shakes up not childishly in film Johnny English Strikes Again 4K.
Johnny English Strikes Again 4K Review
On the eve of the most important meeting of the leaders of the states, Britain was subjected to a mass hacker attack - traffic was paralyzed, hospitals and government offices were working, and information about the secret staff of the MI7 service became public. To save the honor of the country, intelligence officials are forced to turn to agents who have long retired, including Johnny Inglish, who now teaches geography at school. In search of a hacker, the disgraced spy, who had previously repeatedly saved the Crown, plunges into the world of information technology, virtual reality and artificial intelligence, owning only the old tools of the Cold War era. But, as usual, clumsiness, multiplied by fantastic luck, helps Inglish to overcome any opponents.
As we all know well from the films, the world is constantly on the verge of a catastrophe, and the inevitable exploits of special agents, spies and intelligence officers save us from inevitable Armageddon. Usually the postings of a bomb at the last moment are cut by respectable people. But sometimes there are times when James Bond freezes in anticipation of the appointment of a new director, Jason Bourn retires, and Ethan Hunt falls into disgrace with his own leadership. Then Johnny English Strikes Again 4K comes to the forefront - the most ridiculous spy of British intelligence, once in seven years the sobering English aristocrats, and the rest of the world with their comic antics.
The plot of the film should not even touch, it is so ridiculous patchwork that to think about the turns does not make sense - here everything is built around rustic gags, Atkinson's native element. Moreover, the viewer here is treated like a non-sane child, and they are tentatively brought by the hand even to the flattest joke. If they said that the car runs out of gas, then the chase will stop at the crucial moment. If shown pills that cause a surge of vitality, be sure English will take them before bedtime and go to the disco. If the military asks to turn off the cellular service near the submarine, how to drink, Johnny initiates a phone launch of the missiles. In between, there will definitely be an energetic dance, a stormy game of tongue and ridiculous falls from the parapets, from the windows and from the porch. Mr. Bean, I'm sorry, Johnny English in his repertoire.
However, if you remember, in the previous sections, Atkinson’s complete collapse was rescued by colleagues in the frame. First, John Malkovich with Natalie Imbruglia, and then Rosamund Pike, Gillian Anderson and Dominic West did not allow the films to slide into a hopeless farce. This time, the comedian is called upon to rescue the charming Olga Kurylenko, who plays the Russian intelligence officer, the incomparable Emma Thompson, who has taken on the role of the near British Prime Minister, and Jake Lacy, who has reincarnated into the “evil Zuckerberg” who dreams of taking over the world using digital technologies. It is unlikely that the actors in the future will remember with pride this work, but the task they performed on a solid "satisfactory", the eyes of the endless silly grimaces of the main character have time to relax.
However, we will not dye the entire film with imperceptibly black colors, it has a certain charm and even hints of meaning. Charisma lies in the magnificent landscapes of the south of France and the cliffs of Scotland, shown with great love, in a light retro touch on everything that English touches. The meaning lies in the not particularly original idea that the digital world is not as good as the old "analog" one. Yes, in Britain and Hollywood, there are also enough conservatives who prefer the roaring diesel to economical eco-cars, cash to plastic cards and the good old pistol to the most modern smartphone. And this is not bad, because the future is impossible without the past, you should not break away from the roots, even when you reach for the brightest prospects.
But who would dream of the digital world, or, conversely, indulge in nostalgia at the sight of the bright red Aston Martin, when Atkinson is trying to cut a lobster on the screen, eating sharp nuts, goes to knightly armor or plunges into a computer simulator of hand-to-hand combat? Here one must either laugh to tears, or fidget nervously in his chair with the thought: “Why didn’t I go to the Curse of the Nun?” There is no shame for the actors ... ”With all the comic talent of the honored British actor, Rowan, obviously, was tired of these roles himself, and therefore“ Johnny English Strikes Again 4K ”looks like a tough legacy that would be good to leave in the past. After all, everything has its time, and the time of the Bond parodies, obviously, is long gone.
