Two newly minted would-be police officers are sent on a top-secret mission. They have to re-enroll in high school, which is flourishing drug trafficking.

Botanist Schmitt and athlete Jenko did not get along very well at school, however, having met at the police academy, they became best friends on the basis of a sudden mutual assistance: one helped a friend with tests, the other answered with the services of a private coach. The fellows still failed their first joint arrest, but with such idiocy that the authorities sent them back to school: to play teenagers and look for a supplier of a new synthetic drug.

In the original, the tape is called "Jump Street, 21", and this refers us to the eponymous series of the 80s, which made the audience learn the simple name of Johnny Depp. By the way, in the reboot, the actor also appears in a wonderful cameo, for which the tape would be worth watching, even if Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill did not cope with their part of the work.

Fortunately, this did not happen. And Hill's own idea of ​​restarting the gloomy and half-forgotten series as a free comedy paid for itself with a tip. Mixed according to the recipe of his previous works by Appatov (see "SuperPeppers"), a cocktail of sentimentality and vulgarity shot again like "Coca-Cola" charged with "Mentos". Or whiskey with elements from finger batteries and something else - more precisely, find out from Tatum, whose dumb hero is quite successfully mastering the course of subversive chemistry by the end.

The main star and part-time drug dealer of the school is played by James Franco's younger brother, Dave.

The main female role was almost played by Emma Stone.

In 2011, Hill lost 18 kilograms. It was believed that Brad Pitt moved the actor to this step. In fact, he is a nutritionist.

However, the matter is not limited to the mutual thrusting of fingers into the mouth and a fancy-dress fight on the stage of the school theater. Beginning with the clever animated parody Cloudy With Chance of Meatballs, Phil Lord and Chris Miller have skilfully switched to feature films. The directors cleverly alternate witty remarks about the mores of the modern school with hackneyed but well-functioning techniques like "coming" out of place (in "Macho ..." the corresponding episode not only causes stomach cramps, but also delicately reminds of the cartoon and culinary past of its authors). However, the directors successfully play up a whole bunch of cinematic cliches, without getting into a frank parody. After all, in the end, as strange as it may sound in the context of the reboot, they have enough original material.
What is Tatum alone, for once playing a completely lively and charming dunce, and not vainly dreaming of becoming a hero-lover in an oak cabinet.
