Watching the movie is a pleasure watching the movie Captain Marvel 4K. The main character of the picture, Carol Danvers (Bree Larson), first appeared in comics in 1968. Having reached the U.S. Air Force major, Carol began working for Nick Fury, until one day the explosion of a psychomagnet device led to the transformation of Danvers into a hybrid of man and Kriya due to the fusion of its genetic structure with the structure of Mar-Vell's DNA (Jude Law). So Carol Danvers gained superhuman strength, the ability to project energy and fly, becoming Miss Marvel, and later Double Star and the new Captain Marvel.
The plot will unfold in the 1990s, so we are waiting for the appearance of a slightly younger Nick Fury, and this time Samuel L. Jackson will appear without a signature dressing - his character will be completely sighted. The central villains will be the Skrulls - the intergalactic race of green humanoids, as well as the sworn enemies of Kriya, capable of turning into living organisms and objects. The Skrull invasion of Earth is led by the ominous Talos (Ben Mendelson). Download the super movie Captain Marvel 4K.
Captain Marvel 4K ReviewA warrior of the Cree race named Versus has incredible power, which, however, she is not yet able to control completely. She does not remember her past, but sometimes strange outbursts arise in her memory: some kind of plane, an incomprehensible planet and an elderly woman with a gun. On one of the attacks against the evil Skrulls - alien terrorists with whom the Cree have long fought, she is captured and, choosing herself, finds herself on the same planet from her dreams. Here the Skrulls are looking for some kind of superlight engine that will help them win the war. Versus can not allow this and, with the support of the still two-eyed Fury, goes in search of a mysterious laboratory.
Previously, as you know, the grass was greener, and blockbusters were better. The eternal conflict between DC and Marvel was then resolved exclusively by a fight, preferably before the first blood. And the debate about who is cooler, Batman or Iron Man, could easily end with stabbing. But people went limp, fans softened - now they can offend you in the comments for not considering Zack Snyder a genius. And the irreconcilable war itself between the two comic giants turned into a transfer of social booklets. “We will make a movie about a black hero!” - “We are about environmental pollution!” - “And then we are about a woman!” With the latter, by the way, Marvel something was very late: “Wonder Woman” came out two years ago and already collected all possible laurels for unprecedented courage (about the fact that films about superheroines have done before, of course, no one wants to hear).
They have almost ten years running Black Widow at their side, but the studio was in no hurry to give her a solo exit. And now, when the circumstances completely pressed, finally ventured to the "first female solo album MCU", a movie about Captain Marvel Ultra HDR - the omnipotent hero and the ultimate deus ex machina cinematic universe. The producers decided to close the gap on the social plan with its intensity: while “Wonder Woman” was in no hurry to give open feminist slogans, “Captain” consists of almost all of the narrative associated with the heroine. Without exaggeration, 90% of Carol Danvers flashbacks show how insulting her relatives and colleagues are kicking her. You are too weak, you are too emotional, you are, in short, a girl. And the whole main story with the militaristic civilization of Cree is a large and transparent metaphor for the woman’s withdrawal from the oppression of the oppressive patriarchy.
And okay, blockbusters can be forgiven for some edification - they were always more willing to work with the text without the prefix “sub-”. But for such an open didactics, you need a good shout, in other words, a person who will be interested to listen and listen to him. In “Captain Marvel UHD,” this role is taken by the main character with the ever-serious face of Bree Larson and stupid attempts at “van liners”. She doesn’t just listen, it’s painful to look at her from time to time, and she doesn’t really want to: why, when the rejuvenated Samuel L. Jackson runs around and Ben Mendelssohn has for some reason been divorced. The little drama of Talos scrull (Mendelssohn plays it) is generally much more interesting here than the main story, and in his peculiar bromance with Fury, the charisma is enough for a hundred Carol Danvers. Which, however, is a small achievement - only Jude Law with yellow eyes and unchanging intonation is more boring than her.
"Captain Marvel 4K" even in a persistent sociality cannot go to the end. The plot related to the formation of the heroine echoes - and, more importantly, overlaps with it - with a narrative much more important for producers, an attempt to link all the strings and inconsistencies of past paintings through the film. In theory, this should "expand" the MCU, in fact, the effect is rather the opposite. Previously, especially after the first “Sentinels” and the third “Thor”, the Marvel world at least created the illusion that somewhere there, in the depths of space, there is a living ecosystem, not connected in any way and not limited by the frame of the screen. “Captain Marvel 4K” finally reduces the entire universe to the size of a playground, where a miserable dozen heroes live, apparently connected by fate itself. This phenomenon can be called "Moffatization" - similar to what Stephen Moffat does in some Sherlock, where even a little boy from New Guinea risks being part of another intellectual battle between Holmes and Moriarty.
It's a shame that the last detail in the mosaic of an ambitious universe was the movie so inexpressive. "Captain Marvel 4K" is a typical victim of what essayist Evan Pushak called the "passing film epidemic." The movie is tolerable just enough to be tolerated to the end, written and set on a stained screen, without a drop of imagination or charisma. There are even good moments here - successful gags, an entertaining plot twist, cute cats and rare bursts of visionaryness - as if subject to an artificial algorithm. Just to keep the movie on a fine line, somewhere between "normal" and "come down." But the film doesn’t need more - in general, it’s not a film at all, but an ocher
