Ron's Gone Wrong 4K ReviewIn a nutshell - a cartoon after watching which you do not regret watching it. Nice picture, good plot, good humor.
More details:
- Previously, only giant companies enjoyed the privilege of releasing suitable CGI cartoons. Small companies produced cartoons, where graphics were more laughable. Nowadays, everyone can make a great looking CGI cartoon, but most are aiming at luring children or stamping toys and other cartoon merch. This work is quite original and does not poke you in the face with merch advertising, but it does not even reach the festival work.
- The plot is new and not hackneyed, although if you replace the robot with, say, a dog, you will notice similarities with many other works. The theme of the cartoon is friendship and how difficult it is to start. Relationships, mutual assistance and the fight for friends are perfectly served. Many acute topics of our time were raised, for example, hanging in the social. networks, their influence on people's decisions, the imposition of popular gadgets, etc.
- The humor is pleasant and makes you laugh like children. and adults. There are no downright stupid jokes.
- The characters are well revealed, although there is some stereotyped, but in the realities of the modern world. But here is one of the weakest points. Supporting characters hardly interact with the hero. For example, a nerd girl, you could add a couple of scenes where they meet with the hero and do something together contrary to the opinion of the social network bubble and make a sprout of friendship out of it. Best of all, a girl pop star is revealed, even offers to go look for a hero in the forest and admits that they are to blame, but this is where it all ends, an empty throw-in. Just like the scene in the hospital, they were waiting for the hero, worried and ... more and more they disappear, they do not even help in the super operation to storm the 'cloud'. They just go home to lose heart.
- The cartoon is divided into two parts. The first tie of friendship with a robot, there are no questions, everything is gorgeous. Second action. But there is a feeling that the part where Barney revives friendships with childhood friends is missing. They just shove us a scene where children are also dependent on robots, and our four friends become friends. If they were in the server room with him, you could at least make a scene where they put their hands on Barney's shoulders and support him, and so everything is tied.
You can find a lot of flaws in the cartoon and many moments where the question 'What?' Sounds in my head, but the pluses cover all this. This is not a blockbuster and not the beginning of a series of cartoons that collect a billion each, this is a nice cartoon with good humor. If there is a question to watch or not, then definitely watch.
