But when the extravagant Zeta begins to bombard birds and pigs with gigantic ice balls from the eternal frozen ground of Eagle Island, Red and King Leonard conclude a truce and unite against a common enemy. But to win Redu needs to overcome his insecurity and learn how to work in a team.

Adaptation of the game for smartphones is a double-edged sword. The momentary profit is understandable and predictable, but the further fate of the project is foggy. It was in this situation that Angry Birds UHD fell, whose first film in 2016 raised 350 million dollars in the world. Three years is a period sufficient for the toy to lose its former popularity, and too short to appeal to nostalgic feelings.

The continuation of the franchise is again decided in the aesthetics of the explosion at the M & M’s candy factory - it is as far from reality as possible and therefore can afford to do anything. Birds here do not know how to fly and rise to heaven only with the help of slingshots, and pigs are generally green. This creative freedom played a cruel joke on the first film, which even before the opening credits fell into chaos and never managed to get out of it. Here, the creators managed to preserve the semblance of a primitive, but connected plot, and freely tear themselves around it in the usual chaotic mode. The plot introduced a portion of new characters - despite the fact that there were enough of them from the very beginning. However, the spoiled snow queen named Zeta and other newcomers added an already vivid film of new colors to the palette - and the anger declared in the title.

Another plus is that the ideological message of the cartoon can be interpreted in different ways. Here the idea sounds that all the evil of the world comes from abandoned women, and shows a hint that the gross male ego becomes an obstacle when it is necessary to save the world. There are recognizable portraits of representatives of the Generation X, millennials and baby boomers. But the philosophy of fun dominates here - anger should not interfere with a good pastime.

According to tradition, for all one and a half hours of screen time, viewers are subjected to continuous bombardment not only by jokes of all stripes (toilet humor is also available), but also by cultural references. Here sounds “Eye of the Tiger”, which motivates parents, and a reference to the most popular preschool video (three billion views do not call themselves). There was a place for non-translatable puns on the theme of birds like the television series Twin Beaks and the book Crazy Rich Avians.

The second "Angry Birds Ultra HD", in fact, is far from a revolutionary masterpiece, and can only excite fans of the game or just the little ones. Those who missed the first part, do not worry about the second either. However, even a passing interest in the game will already provide an hour and a half of time, not wasted. And for parents accompanying their children, going to the cinema will not be sophisticated torture.
