Accused of a terrible crime, John Coffey finds himself on the death row of the Cold Mountain prison. The newcomer had an amazing height and was frighteningly calm, which, however, did not affect the attitude towards him of the head of the block, Paul Edgecomb, who was used to carrying out the sentence. The Green Mile 4K ReviewIt's very difficult to write a review for this movie as it's a must see. This is one of the most emotional and powerful films in the history of cinema, which deservedly, at the time of writing the review, is in first place in the ratings.
Definitely the picture owes its success to the original source. The work is based on the famous writer Stephen King. But taking the original source is just a foundation, you also need to correctly implement it, and the creators did an excellent job with this.
I consider the dramaturgy to be the main merit of the tape. I believe, and I think many will agree, that it is much more difficult to cause intense grief and sadness than a smile. To do this, you need to do a lot of work on the characters so that they want to empathize and build a competent story. And with these two aspects, the picture has no problems. The director of the tape managed to bring the story to the screen in the right way, using good moves and leaving the details along with the hooks. The work goes on for three hours and during this time we manage to get into the details of the characters and feel their emotions. And what is no less important is that in the course of the action we learn more and more new information and only towards the end of the film we collect the whole puzzle and see the full picture of what is happening.
I really want to commend the actors. All the prisoners and guards did a great job. Some of them didn't have much time, some of them shone all over the tape, but everyone played well and you are ready to watch them non-stop. But still the strongest game was given by Michael Clarke Duncan and Tom Hanks. In this work, they have no equal and they deserve only applause.
And in conclusion, another aspect that is applied to the pluses of the picture is the statement of the authors. The creators skillfully speak to us about the cruelty of the world, about justice and struggle. The theme of life and death is also not bypassed, which causes respect. And after watching, you will definitely have something to think about and maybe even reconsider your outlook on life.
Verdict. This is without a doubt one of the best films in the history of cinema. If you haven't seen this piece yet, be sure to check it out. I'm not afraid to say that this is a masterpiece that makes you believe in the magic of cinema.
