Batman: Assault on Arkham 4K - The joint duet of two worthy directors, the talented Jay Oliva, and the newcomer to the DC universe adaptations to the screen, Ethan Spaulding, brought some definite results. And I would say that these are pretty interesting and qualitative results that bear the name “Batman: Attack on Arkham”. I really hope that these two people will continue to work with each other, or at least from time to time, for apparently, it turns out they just do it perfectly well.
The plot of the picture is pretty simple, a certain government organization, creates a special squad of ruthless killers of Gotham, which includes such characters as Killer Frost, Harley Quinn, Deadshott and others. They are faced with a very real task, to eliminate the notorious Edward Enigma, the Riddler, who was caught and is located behind the walls of the medical institution - Arkham. But at the same time, he knows too much. A group of villains needs to penetrate the territory of the protected object and get Enigma, and along the way find out where he hid the government secrets. The indicated gentlemen are taken for this business by no means just like that, but only because for themselves the solution of the question is life or death. However, as always, the knight of Gotham becomes on their way.
In general, it should be said that the plot this time is built somewhat unusual. He is absolutely not tied directly to Batman himself, that is, it is just him who is shown very little, just several times smaller than usual. Virtually all the story we will follow the fate of the six villains sent to Arkham. By passing so many characters, the creators have not forgotten about the rest, which is very important. Here you and the Penguin and the Joker, Scarecrow, Two-faced, Bane, Poison Ivy and other equally interesting characters. Long time we have not seen such a hodgepodge. It is also worth noting that the work is moderately cruel, which personally cannot but please me. By the way, it was done with an eye on the Batman Arkhem game series.
