Adam and Gordon woke up chained to pipes in a huge abandoned room. Between them is a corpse in a pool of blood ... Both do not understand how they ended up in this position, nor how to get out of it. They quickly realize that they have become the victim of a serial maniac, whom the police call "Death Designer" for his manner of putting people in a situation where they have only two choices - to die themselves or to kill. This time the "inventor" confronted Gordon with a choice: he must kill Adam or his wife and daughter will be destroyed. Detective Tupp, who investigated the previous "experiments" of the super-inventive villain, will try to intervene in the situation ... Will Adam, Gordon and Tupp be able to beat the maniac in his devilish game and stay alive?
Saw 4K ReviewI really love high-quality thrillers and I practically do not digest cheap 'meaty' horror films either. At first, 'Saw' seemed to me to be a representative of the 'mindless meat' category: the actors are mostly unknown, the movie poster has an image of a severed leg, the film budget is ridiculous for American films. But still, I decided to watch it - it had an average mark that was too good, and the information that the fees were 50 times higher than the budget created an additional incentive to watch.
I'll say right away - I envy the writers. What brains do you need to have to come up with such a plot, all these unexpected turns of events and such cruel torture! The more you watch the film, the more rapidly the plot develops. But the tidbit of this creation is the ending. Bravo! I watched the last ten minutes of the movie with my mouth open. This unpredictable interweaving of the past and the present in the film cannot but delight the viewer.
Another strong point of this film is the realism of what is happening on the screen. The film is not scary, it does not try to intimidate us. But all these scenes of the 'game' are made so believable that my friend even had a stomach ache when watching. Although, it cannot be said that the film went too far with cruelty and violence. It contains just as many of these components as is needed to watch a movie without using the toilet.
Meaning. The film is not without this. The question of the true value of life has rarely been raised in films. And then he fit perfectly into the plot about a maniac who loved to "play".
Are you ruining your health of your own accord? Thinking about suicide? Don't give a damn about your body? Perhaps you just don't want to live. Or are you just trying to get attention to yourself? With the help of this 'game' you will understand whether life is really valuable to you.
I was very pleased with the music - in the most important scenes, the musical accompaniment perfectly complemented the picture. The camera work is also at the level.
This is not just a low-budget movie about a maniac. This is a film that changed the idea of thrillers, about an unpredictable plot. This is a film that carries an IDEA. This is a film, the sequel to which thousands of people are waiting every year.
Verdict: Everyone should see this.
