Madness is scary. And "Hereditary 4K" is a film about insanity. Which begins with the usual, like, family, and ends ... However, it is necessary to see what ends.

The film came out full of madness. It goes off scale and sometimes transcends the farce's edge, so it's even funny, but it's still scary to laugh. The most terrible thing in insanity is that you do not know where it ends. This in the film is brilliant. Here is another hero here, with us, but he is already in the clutches of his terror. And with each new scene, the boundaries of fear are increasingly blurred, and the understanding is increasingly clouded.

I went to see Gabriel Byrne, but he has just the most insignificant role (albeit rather big in time). But who really has the main role here, so it's Tony Collette (poor mad Annie). She is really scary in her psychosis. She's just crazy, completely off the reels, obsessed. And throughout the film, she step by step goes to this state. It's really creepy. To the very end, the viewer does not understand whether he sees on the screen reality or schizophrenia of the heroine. And although the ending, in general, quite unambiguous, Annie played so cool, that doubts still do not leave, even after the final credits.

The house of heroes is a real realm of shadows. Light creates shadows, and the shadows enliven the images of the greatest fears in your head. Fear of darkness is sewn to a person in DNA, and the creators of the film use this skillfully. The film is visually simple, there is no brightness or spectacularity. Only a camera hovering between the walls. This adds a picture of realism, and at the right moment there are shadows and only in the very culmination - music.

The plot is two views on what is happening - a rational view of Steve, Hereditary 4K the head of the family and the mystical look of Annie, his wife. The trick is that both of them are creepy to the devils, I do not even know what's worse - madness, generated by the devil or the devil, generated by insanity. It is possible that this is one and the same and from this fact becomes completely uncomfortable.

The movie has its drawbacks. The most important is the fact that the hero Byrne was for some reason made a psychiatrist. Well, I must say, the doctor he's just disgusting. And it does not give anything to the plot, it's just that at some point we were informed this information. The second drawback is the ending. As I have already said, it is quite unambiguous, although against a background of general psychosis even such ambiguity remains unconvincing. All the same you think, but what if everything is the other way around? Like the whole movie, though. Also, the film is quite long, however, on the other hand, it is this that makes it possible to feel the heroine's obsessive obsession in full measure, to soak, so to speak
