Ten years have passed. Despite the promised reforms, the Republic of Palpatine is crumbling before our eyes. Separatists tear the galaxy apart, attacking the Jedi; they are desperate to protect the world and themselves. Padme Amidala, a young senator from the planet Naboo, is suddenly under attack. The Jedi give her a personal bodyguard - the budding Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi's apprentice. Love, secret intrigues, riots and wars - these are the scenery of the second part of the most famous saga in the history of cinema.
Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones 4K ReviewAnother story about Anakin Skywalker, who is still young and has not gone over to the dark side. A very good and entertaining film, a worthy continuation of "Episode I - The Phantom Menace." The film captures, holds all the attention. Especially on Anakin. “Do not let feelings and passions cloud your mind!” Says the mentor to Skywalker. But it is becoming increasingly difficult for him to restrain himself. Which is symbolic, during Anakin’s suffering, “The Imperial March or Darth Vader`s Theme” sounds, and his face reflects anger, a desire for revenge. But he is also brave, strong, ready to stand up for the teacher and very charming, what’s already here But Obi-Wan Kenobi doesn’t make such an impression as Qui-Gon made, he doesn’t have the same simplicity, decisiveness, and his relationship with the student is strange, condescending. As a Jedi, he’s wise, strong and ironic that nice, but not up to the teacher. But Senator Padme opens here completely on the other hand, if in the previous episode it was the imperious, strict, collected Queen Amidala, then here she is smiling, emotional, the only thing that remains the same is always ready to help out, as was the first part with her people, so here with Obi-Wan. She is still beautiful, even better without makeup and magnificent dresses.
The scenes are great. Except perhaps the cloying Skywalkers with Padme. Undoubtedly, the landscapes of Naboo are beautiful and amazing, but how senseless and banal the dialogues are, and such romantic scenes do not fit here! But battles, chases ... great! Just amazing and vivid scenes: the chase of Obi-Wan, his battle with Django Fett, the scene at the clone factory (Padme is amazing!), The final battle is generally gorgeous! Close-knit and dexterous Jedi against thousands and thousands of droids, enchanting and unexpected appearance of Yoda. And the battle of Master Yoda and Dooku is simply impossible to describe!
As an actor, the only nit-picking for newcomer Hayden Christensen: anger and perseverance are perfectly reflected on his face, but in the dramatic scenes he always has a kind of grin on his face. But in subsequent films, he became involved.
I believe that the film is not worthy of anti-rewards, because if you close your eyes to the lyrical scenes of Anakin and Padme, you get a very good film. Let there be no special plot and concept, but an excellent action. “Attack of the Clones” is important in that the war begins with it, it is a kind of complication.
