It’s boring for them, you see, for the first twenty minutes to look at the drawn air battle. What is badly drawn? The audience had difficulties with the plot, it’s not that it is not full, but it has not been digested.

The fosterling of Obi-Wan Kenobi Anakin Skywalker was influenced by Chancellor Palpatine, whom they initially rescued from the captivity of the Sith separatists. For salvation, Anakin was appointed to the Jedi Council, but without being awarded the title of Master. He is still young, and the council is generally dissatisfied with the pressure of the chancellor. However, young, young, but already secretly married to Padmé Amidal. And he dreams of how Padme dies in childbirth. She just said that she was happy because she was pregnant. Even these few lines are already a non-linear plot, already a net around Anakin (Sith and Republic, Jedi and Palpatine, Padme and childbirth), no matter how well you remember the whole Star Wars mythology, despite the fact that the audience does not like to remember. Meanwhile, there are still General Grievous, Mace Windu and Yoda, new planets and old suspicions, dark power, the birth of the Empire, the birth of children, and all this is parallel. And you’ll hardly pronounce it, and when the third part begins after the three ends of thirty years ago and two more recent beginnings, you follow the flickering episodes only with higher education.

Therefore, the audience caught only the “most important thing”. That is, there is no sex again, although there seems to be love, there are no “ours” and “not ours” either, although someone is always fighting with someone, Obi-Wan is utter nonsense instead of analyzing concepts, and if everything that happens - this is how Anakin Skywalker finally became Darth Vader, then everything else, in general, has nothing to do with it, and there is somehow little happening. Well, think about it, chopped a guy’s hands and feet, ruined his face, re-prosthetized everyone and put on a black mask. Business something. And there they go on saying more and more ... But this "most important thing" makes a terrible tyagomotin out of the picture. Slowly, because it is incomprehensible and do not want to delve into. It's easier to compare with The Matrix and nostalgic for the first Star Wars. However, if you delve into it, then Lucas can really repeat it like a prayer: “Now everything is in place,” and no one will kill him. He simply set himself the goal of making all ends meet, so that the hook would not miss a single, smallest loop. Lucas's task is akin to the History of Florence by Nicolo Machiavelli. Not one melodrama with Francesca da Rimini, not one thriller with Medici or Visconti or a horror movie with the Borgia family, but a kind of large and dense grid of a mass of themes and contrasts, reduced to only one conditional “plot” - over time. Here you can recall chess, and music such as cantatas and oratorios, and Renaissance painting. Star Wars stole so much from there that, apparently, they are not even going to hide their Machiavellianism. He, apparently - in principle an archetype for all the works that take so long to be created.

The presence of precisely all the “old” themes, characters, effects and events with this approach to the plot is something taken for granted. It turns out not a bunch of small, but polyphony, in which Lucas actually allowed himself several innovations, the value of which lies in the fact that they are not striking. How cute-pretty face of Hayden Christensen became ugly not only when her eyes turned red. No, the whole movie is gradually emerging from a “bright face” a quiet “darkening” is born: at first the camera lingered on his smile so that it suddenly froze and turned into a grimace, then it was lit so that his forehead hung and his eyes fell through. And all behavior and words - as indeed in a person who wanted to be good, grows bad, which was stronger. The birth of Padme, the influence of the Chancellor is just an excuse, in some places quite ridiculous, and the essence is eternal. When the bad is stronger, this is the weak person. Too weakly wanted good. Also in the Chancellor, the main thing is not a computer transformation into a terrible secret leader of the Sith, it again, of course, goes without saying - but different cute little things. When he propagandized Anakin for a thirst for power over dark power, Lucas lightly, almost imperceptibly lit his noble bald patches so that small horns appeared with purely light flares. They are not painted, they are highlighted by the movie.

Of the little things, this time there is much more subtle than before, the meaning of the whole star saga. This is no longer a fairy tale about the Little Finger Boy or the seven dwarfs under Snow White. It’s rather a “game of civilization”, where the Finger-Boy always turns into an Eater without exception, and then gets killed by the next Finger-Boy. This is a big and thick mirror of the whole "boy" life, because the game is over only when you no longer need to continue. And without them, everything that could be further is clear. And it’s clear as day that the newborn at the moment Luke Skywalker, who later killed his dad Darth Vader, in some seventh part could have killed, for example, Han Solo and become another, new Dart, one hundred and seventh, to save Leia’s sister parts will be killed, for example, by a nephew. In the light of the subtleties, “dullness” and “gravity” become monumentality, “repetitions” - solidity, “borrowing” - universality. "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" - a very gloomy, hopeless than real sight.
