The world's first Croods family sets out in search of a new place to stay for a long time. Suddenly, they find themselves in a real paradise, built by other people who call themselves the best version and have never seen a caveman. However, the housewarming becomes a test for both families.
The Croods A New Age 4K ReviewIt's not a secret for anyone that as soon as a film gains success with the audience, its continuation is almost immediately put into production, and in many cases the continuation begins to be developed even before the premiere of the original tape. In this connection, it is extremely rare when this very continuation has to wait long enough. This is exactly what happened with this tape directed by Joel Crawford, which came out 7 years after the release of the original tape.
The plot of this tape again develops around the Croods and Maly family, who are looking for an amazing and safe place called "Tomorrow". Going on a long journey and getting into a huge number of dizzying adventures. However, having achieved their long-awaited dream, they do not even suspect what lies ahead and what price they will need to pay.
The main question that arises when watching this tape is why the creators of this tape delayed so long with the continuation and released the film almost imperceptibly, and did not "forge the iron while it is hot"? The question remained unanswered. Nevertheless, the long break between the two films affected the quality of this tape. Fortunately, not much.
The script for this tape turned out to be as simple as possible and perhaps even primitive. But similarly to the previous part, the situation is saved by how lively the main characters turned out, how the process of revealing their characters is subtly demonstrated and, of course, excellent humor, which manifests itself perfectly both in jokes and comical moments. Even a little awkward at first glance, the feminist message about strong women saving weak men added closer to the finale looks quite interesting.
The replacement of the venerable Chris Sanders with the debutant Joel Crawford as director also affected the quality of this tape. Fortunately, not so much. The picture has lost the soulfulness that the original tape possessed. However, the creators of this tape compensate for what is happening with the general atmosphere of carefree fun and childishness. Which looks great in the context of the really dignified humor of this tape. But the animation of the picture is still excellent, bright, juicy and rich in colorful colors.
We were eagerly pleased with the return of the actors of the original tape, who also perfectly voiced their characters on the screen. And their characters look all the same lively and interesting. And the newcomers in the face of Peter Dinklage and Leslie Mann did not lose face.
