Summer 1963. 17-year-old Francis, nicknamed Baby, an innocent spoiled girl from a wealthy family, spends her holidays with her parents at a resort hotel. She meets Johnny, a handsome professional dancer, experienced in matters of life and love.
As if bewitched by sexual rhythms and unrestrained movements of "dirty dancing" in the style of rhythm and blues, Baby becomes Johnny's student partner - both in dancing and in love.
Dirty Dancing 4K ReviewA film about equality. And it is, first of all, in some things indicated by nature. For example, we are all going to die, so a poor dancer (this label stuck to Patrick Swayze in my imagination forever, but not because of the role, but because of this constant image of a good guy) can fall in love with a girl from a wealthy family. She, in turn, can show her tolerance by doing a kind of charity work. And the main thing is not in this, but in her naivety and his hips.
And we can all enroll in a dance club. I am especially impressed by this in this film, because I preferred singing to all dances at any time. And for any girl who wants to repeat Baby's feat with me at different times of her youth (as I understand it, this is how women check the degree of trust), it was always a good opportunity to kiss the dance floor with her nose. And why jump in such a state and even on me, and not on Patrick Swayze?
In addition to invigorating music, 'Dirty Dancing' really charges you with the understanding that any plasterer can always marry the daughter of a famous doctor. I did not reveal any secrets. The film also perfectly demonstrates the fact that clean, decent relationships do exist, albeit for a very short time. I always remember Prince Myshkin, who for some time managed to be a millionaire. It's the same here.
Most of all I like the silly song that Sister Baby sings and the healthy simple setting, the atmosphere of the film. This immersion in the everyday life of that time (albeit of high society) creates a certain feeling that everything is available to you in this life. The film disappointed me in the 90s, I expected great revelations from it, but with age I looked closely and confidently classify it as a classic of cinema.
