After a successful robbery, the famous thief Lupine III and his partner Jigen discover that what they have stolen is nothing but a mountain of counterfeit banknotes known as "goat bills." Determined to find the source of the forgeries, the friends follow the trail that leads them to the castle of Cagliostro. A beautiful girl is held captive in the castle, whom Lupine is going to free at all costs.
The Castle of Cagliostro 4K ReviewHayao Miadzyaki's first feature film and his first film that I watched.
A very funny and cute movie. It may not be very colorful, albeit not very diverse, but very interesting. Every minute of this picture is filled with the incredible adventures of the guy Lupine, who finds himself in various funny situations, from which he gets out thanks to his character and brilliant mind.
It's no secret that the hero - Lupine - is the Japanese analogue of the legendary French thief Arsene Lupine. And the film also says more than once that the guy is the grandson of the legendary thief. It turned out to be a good parody of this famous person. In general, the film is a funny parody of countless films about swindlers and spies, but thanks to the anime stylist and unforgettable Asian flavor, something extra original and funny has turned out.
In general, Miadzyaki's full-length debut turned out to be a very pleasant sight.
