The action of the fifth film of the legendary saga begins with the end of the story of the fourth part. Jill orders the capture team to storm the ship Arcadia, causing the ship to sink. However, Alice and the rest of the survivors manage to escape by lifting the tiltrotor into the air ...
Resident Evil Retribution 4K ReviewAlice (Jovovich) is once again captured by the Umbrella corporation in order to escape once again, beautifully killing another zombie army on the way.
Surprisingly, it is a fact - until the fifth part, this multi-part film adaptation of a computer game has never tried to exist according to the laws of the games themselves. She sometimes pretended to be a classic hermetic thriller, then tried to compete with Mad Max in the field of a hilarious post-apocalyptic action movie. But as soon as the zombie idiocy entered into legal rights, the frightened genre fell over and over again, and a senseless and merciless revolution began in the "Matrix", where Jovovich was Neo, and all the others were a software failure.
Now everything is finally honest: the film is divided not into plot components (setting, development, etc.) and not even into episodes, but into levels. That is, the heroes all the way talk about something and look for something, but if Anderson had been removed from the script, nothing would have changed in essence. Having crumbled a flock of walking dead at the "Tokyo" level, Alice goes to the "Moscow" level, where there are already more monsters, they are more terrible and they have tanks. As in some old eight-bit game, here you can defeat the boss and meet him at a more difficult stage, but in duplicate. But most importantly, by the fifth series, Anderson finally turned off the internal spectator and completely approached the matter from the position of a gamer.
It's time to admit, if there is an opportunity to choose, in action games everyone always plays as girls, because a futuristic machine gun or a luminous two-handed hand looks best with a bikini. If you try to briefly retell Resident Evil: Retribution, you get something like this: three girls of model appearance (Michelle Rodriguez does not count) - one in latex with sparkling buckles, the other in latex with a deep neckline, and the third in a red dress with a slit to the waist. each other half to death. They also trample ordinary ghouls with stiletto heels and shoot a lot at men getting tangled under their feet, but the main thing, of course, is their fights. In this sense, what is happening on the screen most of all resembles "Forbidden Trick" (with the amendment that Snyder's picture is a hundred times smarter and a hundred times more inventive), and if the previous episodes were a cross between ballet and especially twitchy clips of The Prodigy, now only one ballet remained, but wonderful and with three ballerinas of stunning beauty.
Demand a sixth episode after intermission.
